BUY THE WINE

Nicolas Belfrage: Medium deep, some turn on rim. Clean, fresh, vibrant fruit on nose. Firm tannins holding it together, though needs time for fruit to come through and to round out the currently drying finish. Drink 2012 on. 15

Roy Richards Open, some oak. This has good typicity. As with [Podere la Vigna], the excitement factor is not there, but this is correct. Perhaps I am being unkind here, but it is sullen, lacking in sensual excitement. 15

Franco Ziliani: Great intensity and density of color. The nose is very ripe, maybe overripe, and lacks freshness and definition. Very round fruit, luscious, in a modern style, well-made and appealing but not complex wine, easy to drink now, with some ageing potential. 15
