BUY THE WINE

Nicolas Belfrage: Lovely color, medium deep, with turn on rim. Nose very “Brunello”, balsam and cherry. Palate a let-down, however, somewhat dilute with hard-drying tannins. May turn out well but hard to predict now, certainly not ready before 2015. 14

Roy Richards Caramel, some jammy fruit. Actually very appealing on the palate. Good simple fruit, but light on the august qualities of Brunello. 11

Franco Ziliani: Dense color, the nose is mysterious, the palate is well-balanced, with little structure. Soft tannins and a medium body and persistence. It seem more a Rosso di Montalcino than a Brunello. Well-made, appealing to drink now. 15.5
