Nicolas Belfrage: Impenetrable deep color that Sangiovese is virtually incapable of achieving. Bears little resemblance to the genre, though obviously made with care to impress international market. 12
Roy Richards New oak again and very dark. Loads of fruit and vanilla. Exuberant, but not recognizably Brunello. 14
Franco Ziliani: Old “modern” style color: inky, concentrated color the nose is not very expressive and almost wild and earthy with plume and cherry ripe notes, and absolutely no idea of elegance, freshness and balance. The palate mouth is silly and bitersweet, with overripe and jammy fruit and oak, oak, oak… Low acidity that devastates your palate. Why drink this kind of wine? Brunello is another thing entirely. 11
