BUY THE WINE

Nicolas Belfrage: An attempt at a modern wine which falls flat – too much emphasis on oak and not enough on character and fruit. Not worth waiting for. 9

Roy Richards Reductive, faecal even. This carries through to palate with evident Brett, which then dries out the fruit. No future, I fear. 7

Franco Ziliani: Intense ruby violet color. Nose intensive, rich, extractive, with ripe fruit and some excessive oak. Good structure, bold tannins, but not perfectly balanced, with some bitter, astringent and dry tannins on the finish. 14
