Spicy gingerbread aroma, then this has the damp sweetness of Medjool dates on the front palate. It is super-supple but also quite straight, with a contrast of sweet and fresh. Appealing, light, and quite floral, with notes of orange and clove, slightly tart to finish, with a well-sustained, cool, charcoal bite. This is top-notch Monthélie. 2022–25. | 89–90
