An expressive and enticing aroma, which is quite unusual for Chevalier at this early stage; biscuit, butter, and toasted cumin. And on the palate, there is a glossy sheen and fluidity. It is fabulously intense, pure and glistening. Even with the silkiness, it retains a grip of cool austerity. It has poise and presence and a certain loftiness. Bizarrely, tasting the wine over several days it became more coldly sapid and austere. Love it. 2026–35+. | 99
