Michael Schuster: Dense, blackcurrant Cabernet, sweet-cored and persistent; medium-full, fresh in acidity, firm in tannin; crisply sweet to taste, moderately complex, vivid flavor, but with fine fruit length. A slight austerity, but it often shows like that early on, and softens and blossoms surprisingly later. They don’t pick late here, and this is sometimes an explanation. 2027–40. 89–90
Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Serious, wood a bit dry on the two samples tasted. 95–96
