Michael Schuster: Mid-gold; youthful, relatively closed, wax, honey, and light, new oak; rich, ample, well-balanced, fairly full Sauternes with a nicely balancing, fresh acidity; intensely sweet, silky, succulent, flavor with a fine but not obtrusive new-oak vanilla, a racy complexity, a long mid-palate, and good length of aftertaste. Notably rich for the year, while remaining a very good rather than a very fine Rieussec. Will drink well young, and keep too. Now to 2020+. 17
