An incredibly vibrant purple robe and sophisticated nose of dark fruit, just a touch stalky, graphite and laurel, ripeness with grip, tension indulged. Sounds just about right in a warm year. The palate is equally pleasing: St-Jo acidity, with chalky, confident tannins and plenty of crushed rock, bay leaf, and woodsmoke beyond the generous compoted fruit. | 92
