BUY THE WINE

Alex Hunt: This dense, ripe wine is brought nicely into focus by fresh acidity and what seems like a very light touch of oak. There is a bit of apricotty surmaturité on the nose, and this renders the fruit character rather generic, but the balance is spot on. 87

Andrew Jefford: Dark, dense purple-red. Cool, fresh fruits with a touch of green. Deep, vivid, pure-fruited, long, dense, and pure, such a different incarnation of Juliénas to [Pascal Aufranc Juliénas Probus]! Where that was broad and exotic, this is closedrawn, sheer, and pure. The touch of green is there on the palate, too, but that just adds to the freshness. Very good wine. 88

Peter Liem: This is densely fragrant yet elegant in build, demonstrating the delicacy of the cru. It’s taut and focused on the finish, with subtle length. 89
