Alex Hunt: First bottle seems a little dry and stripped. Second bottle is perhaps slightly fruitier but still has a certain vitamin-pill dryness. An austere Moulin-à-Vent that may resolve, but depth will remain a question for now. 83
Andrew Jefford: Saturated deep purple-black in color. Sweet, sumptuous fruits but with a slight camphor note, which is a little disconcerting. On the palate, this is dense, concentrated, close-textured, detailed, and long, with finely jointed flavors; sumptuous and harmonious. Classy, serious Moulin-à-Vent. I’d like to look at the aromas again in a year or two, but in general this wine bodes very well for the future. Wealth of tannins, softly extracted, and no extraneous oak. 90
Peter Liem: This is dense and concentrated in tone, with a compact build and firm structure. Its dark-fruit flavors are infused by a stern, iron-like minerality, and it finishes with intense flavors and fragrant length. 91
