Alex Hunt: Very reductive Burgundian on the nose. Good grip and “chew,” though not a whole lot of local character at this point. Ça morgonne un peu tôt? That aside, it’s impressive, focused wine. 88
Andrew Jefford: Deep, clear black-purple. Sweet and spicy, in well-rounded style. Fresh, vivid, and lively aromas. The palate is quite grippy and firm, with mid-depth of black-cherry and blackcurrant fruit behind, but the tannins are so grippy that the effect is just a little bit drying. 84
Peter Liem: This is dark and chocolaty, constricted by firm tannins. It’s kept buoyant by fresh acidity and a pronounced minerality, and it persists with delicate length on the finish. 88
