Alex Hunt: Juicy core with ripe tannins, but rather rough and baked around the edges. Shows the positive and the negative sides of the vintage. 83

Andrew Jefford: Dark, dense, brooding purple-black-red. Sweet-fruited, fresh, and spicy aromas, with lots of bass and undertow that you don’t find in some of the other crus: a splendid cherry symphony here. There’s a deep, vigorous well of bright cherry fruit here, very complete, very engaging, supported by soft tannins that never obtrude: The black-cherry fruit is the unquestioned star here. Outstanding classic Morgon, riding dolphin-like on its fruits. 91

Peter Liem: This is juicy and fruit-focused, feeling a little splayed in its ripeness. It’s attractive in flavor, yet it struggles to hold itself together. 83
