Simon Field: Attractive purple hue and, behind the reduction, a nose of tea, stewed fruit, and hints of kirsch. Palate has primary red fruit, raspberry, and even strawberry, with a subtle earthy backdrop, balanced acidity, and ripe fruit tannins; a well-drawn and focused wine, with a sense of proportion at its core - 16
Alex Hunt: Slight reduction mars otherwise pretty, perfumed red-fruit aromas. Delicate, even, persistent palate. A nice sense of concentration without excessive extraction. Redcurrant brightness in a medium-bodied, refreshing wine - 14.5
John Livingstone-Learmonth: Medium-depth red, not bright. Cautious nose—there is a cooked-plum, Grenache fruit presence, a trace of licorice from the Syrah, with some evolution already. The palate features a little reduction and is a plain affair; the fruit is downbeat, and while the tannins are largely ripe, it fails to inspire. In its favor, it has not been forced along in the cellar so has natural virtues. Drink now to 2017–18. There is a local feel on the aftertaste, a garrigue-herb, dust influence there, and the Grenache has an easy credibility in its fleshy character - 14
