Stephen Brook: Very deep red. Sweet plummy nose, quite oaky. Rich and supple, a touch flabby but has reasonably concentrated fruit, and a dash of (added) acidity. Perhaps a touch too much oak for the fruit, but it’s not extracted. Strong black fruit character. Lacks persistence and flair, but it offers plenty of fruit and a sheen of oak. Drink fairly soon. 15.5
Michael Schuster: Dark red; closed and rather dry to smell; nicely balanced, elegant, fine-textured middleweight; stylish, ripe fruited, not big or fleshy, but nicely sustained across the palate, and with good, light length. 15
