Stephen Browett: Medium color. A touch of spice on the nose. A little bit of character on the palate and not as superficial as some of the wines on show here. But, average at best. 14

Michael Schuster: Mature mahogany red; soft caramel and oak-tinged Merlot; a good core of ripe, fairly straightforward fruit marked by a strong new oak tannin. Another wine where the tannin texture is likely to dominate the fruit in the long term. 14
