Stephen Brook: Orange, peach, and mango on the nose; forthright with some discernible oak. Lean, silky attack, velvety, opulent, but no heaviness here and the mid-palate is poised and elegant. Delicious fruit, mandarins and peach, with some spice and pepper from the oak, and reasonable persistence of flavor. This is exceptionally well balanced and should evolve well, at least in the medium term. 17

Michael Schuster: Mid-gold; closed, waxy, undeveloped nose; a well-balanced, rich and concentrated and fairly lively wine; intensely sweet, ample and unctuous in texture, mouthcoating yet well contained by its acidity; long across the palate, elegant, spicily complex, and with superb length. A fine, complete Rieussec. Great pleasure already! And a great future in prospect. 18.5
