Stephen Brook: Deep orangey-gold, looks far more mature than it actually is. Evolved nose of marmalade and barley sugar and caramelized oranges. Very sweet, lush, creamy, concentrated, fair acidity, and overall it’s fresher than the nose suggests. Nonetheless, the low acidity suggests it will age quite rapidly. Enjoy soon for its undoubtedly attractive upfront fruitiness, and its orange-zest piquancy. Medium length. 15.5
Michael Schuster: Dark, old gold in appearance; slightly lackluster, mature, raisiny nose to smell; very rich and concentrated, and with a lively balancing acidity; intensely sweet, very concentrated, with a marked, raisiny botrytis flavor; not a lot of aromatic complexity or scope, and already with the more marmaladey secondary characteristics of a mature Sauternes, good fruit length. Great sweetness and intensity, if without the class and resonance of a great terroir. Attractive and mature already. 16
