Stephen Brook: Delicate stone-fruits nose, with some evident botrytis. Medium-bodied, sleek, not that concentrated, decidedly sweet. It sags slightly on the mid-palate and there’s little complexity, but there’s quite good fruit here and a distinctive candied lemon tone. There was a change of generation here beginning with this vintage, and it shows. This is not a great Sauternes by any stretch of the imagination, but it shows far more concentration and character than the Suaus of old. Medium length. 14.5

Michael Schuster: Mid-gold; slightly grubby nose; light, fresh Sauternes; medium-sweet, by the standards of this vintage, and with clean, simple, lively straightforward flavor, a hint of minerality and good, light length. Pleasing lesser Sauternes, more of an aperitif style. Drinkable now, and will doubtless keep too. 14
