Michael Schuster: Very ripe black fruit to smell; rich, fresh, firmly, but finely tannic; sweet, pure, fine, transparent, long to taste, gently racy all the time, a lovely fragrance, and great length. Less muscular (less extracted?) than the 2015; a really nice, and perhaps truer, expression of the terroir, if at a similar quality level. 2028–45+. 93–94

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Precise red fruit, refined, with great delicacy, not very deep but fine and persistent, great length. 94–95
