BUY THE WINE

Michael Schuster: A heady, ripe red-fruit nose, subtle, wild-rose floral; full, fleshy, very finely tannic, and fresh; so sweet in flavor, and yet so fresh at the same time, a truly lovely balance; long, thoroughbred, and vital, rich yet transparent, subtle, gently exciting, and with great fragrant length. Not a particularly broad or dense wine, but packed with perfume, a suave, scented, graceful beauty. 2028–40. 94–96

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: The greatest wine here, at least at birth, for more than 20 years! Greatly vivid fruit, brilliant and refined length, ultra-fine tannins. 98–99
