Michael Edwards: Lovely color, deeper than the straight des Jacques. A tight nose again but opulent silky mouthfeel and intense, profound flavors. The wine has enough substance to take the new oak treatment, which is noticeable now but will surely integrate with 12–18 months. Elegant acidity gives attractive uplift. 17
