Michael Schuster: Sweet verging on raisiny in its ripeness; an exceptional combination of ripe fruit, concentration, vital freshness, and firm tannin, an abundant constitution. Very full, with superripe fruit, but very fresh, too; long and complex and lively and energetic across the palate, very nicely sustained, aromatic, seductive in its style, and also marked on its long finish by its fruit abundance. More showy, vital, fruity than even the Larcis Ducasse in this vintage. A wine that wears its large heart on its large sleeve! A fruit bomb, but with class, impressive in its particular style. 2026–36? 91–93
Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Deep and refined, delicate, a great expression of St-Emilion’s chalky terroirs, intense, long, and subtle. 95–96
