Michael Schuster: A fine, floral scented nose; rich yet restrained, the year’s freshness, and very fine grained tannin; sweet, delicate, violet fragrant, subtle, racy, and prolonged to taste and finish; a wonderful flavor with a striking aromatic envelope, making for an apparent density without any impression of thickness or force, and a delicious temptation to drink! A most individual Pomerol, effortlessly full, and yet so fine and quiet-spoken. 2026–40. 95–97

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Deep nose that makes one’s mouth water, we like this aromatic freshness; the mouth is immensely charming with its suave and floral attack, on carnation and peony, and long and melting tannins. This wine radiates in the mouth. It is once again one of the successes of the vintage in this sector. 97–98
