Michael Schuster: Mid-gold; a fine, discreet nose; nicely balanced, rich, supple-to-fresh wine; concentrated, intensely sweet, a nice botrytis spice and complexity across the palate, long to taste, and with a fine, aromatic length of aftertaste, too, if not quite the aromatic persistence and presence that its attack and mid-palate promise. Very good for the vintage nonetheless. 93–94
Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Great nose of apricot and yellow peach, a touch of pineapple showing the slow nature of this vintage’s botrytis, a bit less obviously perfect at its birth than the 2015. 96–97
