Michael Schuster: Mid-gold; fairly dumb for the moment, and gently marked by its oak, with a light, fresh, citrus character; full, rich, fresh, with a nice defining acidity for the vintage; very sweet, very pure and, as always, very subtle; long across the palate, succulent and gently racy, but without the intensity, complexity, or tenacity of flavor of a great Yquem, and with good rather than great length. The fruit is there on the finish, the aromatic volume and presence, less so. A good, complete, elegant, relatively supple, middleweight Yquem, with its characteristic combination of subtlety and power, and its very individual, and special, silkiness of texture. 94–95
Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: The property built its blend mostly with selections from the middle of the harvest, so surprising in their lightness, and has once again managed to combine body, purity, and drinkability at a unique level for the Sauternais. There will be a bit more force in the 2015. The 25% of Sauvignon contributes to the freshness of the aromas. 98
