Andrew Jefford: Deep, dark purple-red: the deepest of the Côte de Brouilly cohort. Lovely nose: real floral enchantment as well as perfectly defined fresh fruits, complex and harmonious. Again this has a pristine, washday-fresh element also noted in [Domaine Lagneau Côte de Brouilly Cuvée Didier Vieilles Vignes]. Vivid, deep, with beautifully drawn and delineated fruit. The supporting tannins are superb and those who love to find a “mineral trace” might do so here. Hard to fault this wine both as an incarnation of its cru, and as a model of what a Beaujolais cru in its purest sense might be. 94

Peter Liem: This is dense and dark in flavor, its focused structure deftly harnessing the ripeness of the vintage. It feels reflective of place, infused by a vibrant stoniness, and it remains lively and poised through the long finish. 92
