Andrew Jefford:Dark, dense, saturated black-red. Fine blackcherry fruits redeemed by licorice spice here: utterly charming and engaging scents. Very fine. An absolutely commanding and splendid wine on the palate, too: thickly and dramatically fruity, with chic black cherry; texturally close-textured and sumptuous; creamy, long, resonant, poised. Perhaps some might like a little more primary thrust, but I just can’t see any way in which this won’t be, over the next five to seven years, one of the Morgon landmarks. Concentrated, dense, refined: every top restaurant should have this Morgon on its list. 94

Peter Liem:Dark in tone, this is ripe yet energetic, balancing its concentrated flavors with a lively structure and softly fragrant stoniness. It’s harmonious and inviting, and should develop even more depth and detail with further aging. 91
