Alex Hunt:This is an oak-led style, but there’s a fair bit of fruit power fleshing out the flavor, and the acid/ tannin balance is just right. It needs some time to settle down but is certainly a class act. 88
Andrew Jefford:Deep saturated black-red. A very different fruit profile from most of the crus, this is singing with red apple and red plum and a touch of pomegranate, too. Probably our “fruitiest” Julienas on the palate, too, with lots of sweet red-fruit action backed by soft but typically generous tannins. A fine effort: exciting. 89
Peter Liem:This is spicy and taut, with dark-berry flavors and fresh tannins. True to the cru, it remains elegant and buoyant even with its high ripeness. 88
