Alex Hunt:Already showing its cranberry/strawberry Pinot side, but still youthful overall, this is a very promising nose. The palate is a little drying and austere by comparison, so there’s a question over medium-term balance here. The wine is pulling in two different directions, and only time will tell. 86

Andrew Jefford:Deep black-purple. Well-rounded, open, sweet, and urbane aroma, which owes as much to élevage as it does to the stock of primary fruit, but which has been executed with great grace and sensitivity. Lively and fresh, with the graceful fruit notes still clearly apparent, but with middle and end-palate richness and weave from the élevage. Choice and elegant. 90
