Andrew Jefford: Deep black-red. The scent suggests that we haven’t got to complete ripeness with this wine: it’s a little simple, green and ashy. Slender, light, and tangy on the palate. It needs drinking soon, and there’s no tannin hump to climb over; pleasant palate balance, despite the nose. But it’s very slight and no one should lay this down. Now to 2019. 84
Michael Schuster: Light red-fruit bouquet; medium-full, red-fruit brisk, moderately tannic; a dry, quite austere claret of limited interest and a fairly austere texture. Not bad, but not much fun, it has to be said! 2020–26. 85
