Andrew Jefford: Deep black-red and not far off opacity. Surprisingly sweet and ripe in scent, with a clay-like thickness and richness to it: intriguing. Nothing green here whatsoever. On the palate, it is relatively acidic, but once again there’s nothing green or leafy in that acidity, which is early-ripe and supports the shy curranty fruits impressively. Well-crafted wine that can’t quite escape its vintage destiny. Has firmness, texture, and structure for the short to mid-term. Now to 2021. 86
