Andrew Jefford: Deep, dark black-red. Gruff, earthy scents; a vegetal fullness in the best sense, without any grassiness. Sappy and enticing. Very good here: firm tannins, dense fruit, and a balance in which the acidity of the vintage has been successfully held in check, giving the fruit some breadth and meatiness. 2018–23. 89

Michael Schuster: Quite dense and aromatic to smell; rich, elegant, medium-full wine, fresh to lively in acidity, and finely if firmly tannic; a lively, savory flavor, long to taste, quite dense, with nice complexity of flavor, and good length of aftertaste. Backward and needing plenty of time. 2027–40+. 89
