Andrew Jefford: Dark black-red. Very fresh and driving cassis, sweetened just a little by some orange and bergamot. Pretty scents. Deep, firm, full, but less tyrannically acidic than some of its peers. It has a sound balance, with ample fresh blackcurrant providing the main interest. For short or at most medium-term drinking, but lots to reward (at the right price). Now to 2022. 89

Michael Schuster: Closed to smell; medium-full, fresh, firmly tannic; a brisk red-fruit flavor of moderate complexity and medium length. On the severe side. Time will certainly mellow it, but at what price? 2023–30+. 88
