Andrew Jefford: A little less intense in color than I expected: clear black-red. Curranty, fresh scents in light, softfocus style. Very classic though rather restrained. No blemishes and a balanced and harmonious aromatic set; give it time, and you’ll find tealeaf and rose, too. On the palate it is concentrated, sober and serious. Well-crafted though fundamentally acidic, with relatively soft tannins and a dark suite of edgy berry and currant flavors. 2018–24. 90

Michael Schuster: Dense, minerally, closed for the moment; rich and firm and concentrated, a (typically) long-term constitution; deep and flavory within its firmly tannic structure, long to taste, complex, aromatic, tenacious, persistent, and aromatic to finish, but also long-term for the year. Very good, but needing a decade at least. 2027–40+. 92
