Andrew Jefford: Dark black-red. Sweet oak, dry, a touch reedy already. Fair but no sense of depth or poise from the aromatic profile, and the oak eclipses the other elements. On the palate, by contrast, the oak is less obtrusive and the drinker will find a substance and depth she or he may not have expected. This will last a little longer than its peers and may well outgrow that oaky youth. Now to 2020. 87
Michael Schuster: Both sweet and lightly oaky to smell; quite full flavored for the vintage, crisply ripe, gently marked by the new-wood tannin, but not unpleasantly so, limited in scope, medium length. A slightly solid style for Margaux, the tannin will be absorbed at table. Now to 2025. 87
