Andrew Jefford: Deep black-red. Another rather grassy, jonquil-like nose: spring bulbs. Lacks the allure and classicism of the more solicitously riper wines from elsewhere in the sub-region. Fresh and brisk on the palate, though without any evident failings save for those of the vintage. Now to 2019. 84
Michael Schuster: Fine, cedary nose; rich medium-full wine, fresh in acidity, finely firm in tannin; a ripe red-fruit flavor, subtly gravelly, long across the palate in its 2013 austere style, and with nice, aromatic length; good if perhaps just a bit too structured for the year’s available fruit? 2023–30+. 89
