Andrew Jefford: Deep red with some black; clear. Bottle 1: Corked. Bottle 2: Sweet, graceful, and light, with some seaweedy freshness and tentative, understated richness—a hint of bramble behind the quiet cherry. Soft, graceful, resonant, and charming. A wine of impressive purity and finesse; elegant, deft, and fine-sewn. Admirable ripeness for the vintage—which is to say bare and shy, but palpable and enjoyable for all that. Small proportions, though. Now to 2022. 89
Stephen Brook: Lean sour-cherry nose but has some lift and freshness. Svelte and lifted, without much depth of fruit but showing no greenness. Quite long. 87
