Andrew Jefford: Translucent red-black: paler in hue than many wines in this vintage. Ah: wonderful work aromatically. Suddenly there is a sumptuous floral spectrum that seemed to elude everyone else: astonishing. So pretty, graceful, fresh, light, and charming: a gale of cherry blossom. The fruit is almost an afterthought, though it is there—fresh cherry, sweet plum. There is cream, too. Very lovely and very Burgundian. On the palate, it is light, soft, graceful, though without quite the same levels of depth and detail as the aromas succeeding in sketching out (that is the vintage). The tannins are splendid: so soft, yet deep and resonant, and flavor-saturated; it is the tannins, in truth, that really carry the palate and pull the relatively shy fruit along behind. So graceful in the finish, as always. Now to 2025. 94
Stephen Brook: Lean delicate cherry and blackberry nose, with no herbaceousness and even some charm. Medium-bodied and graceful, this is deliberately modest, with no excessive extraction. Delicacy and balance and finesse. Just not for long aging. 90
