Andrew Jefford: Mid depth of black-red. Very low-focus aromas: generalized and fresh, but without anything disconcerting or inadequate. Some concentration and texture in this wine provides pleasure and drinking substance. The fruit is barely ripe, though, so I’d get it before the stump of acidity becomes prominent. Over the next two or three years, there is plenty to enjoy here. Now to 2020. 85
Stephen Brook: Sour-cherry nose, with an overlay of oak. Supple, quite juicy and upfront and concentrated, with some persistence on the finish. Not the greatest terroir, but this is a good effort, if not very refined or nuanced. 87
