Andrew Jefford: Dark, dense black-red, rivalling Valandraud for depth of hue. Soft, earthy, sweet and warm: it’s a relatively graceful and expansive aromatic profile, but without a lot of focus, perfume, or lift. Contained though ripe. On the palate, it is deep but just a little inky in terms of its articulation; there is a rawness somewhere in here. Dense, vivid fruits dominate the palate: hard to improve on the plum resonance of this wine in this year. There are ample, soft tannins. It’s long, spicy, and structured on the finish: one of the most complete wines of the vintage. An admirable effort. Now to 2025. 92
Stephen Brook: Opaque red. Sumptuous blackberry nose, ripe and generous. Rich and flamboyant, with a good dose of new oak, this is a strong result, with backbone and tension and no lack of dark fruits. Good length. 92
