Andrew Jefford: Deep red-black in color. Deep, ripe, lively, spicy, meaty, savory: impressively ripe, though slightly rough and ready in terms of its profile. Deep, plummy, full, sweet and expansive on the palate, with tempered acidity and ample soft tannins. It is another impressive St-Emilion that seems to have gone beyond the vintage limitations in every respect save that of dimension. Now to 2022. 89
Stephen Brook: Rather green nose, surprising for a property that seeks maximum ripeness. Medium-bodied, light and simple, with a bit too much oak for the fruit. There’s good acidity and freshness but insufficient weight of fruit. 87
