Andrew Jefford: Deep clear black-red. Warm and shapely aromas of black fruits given some acidic lift; just a hint of copse and grove. Vividly fruity, edgy and bright in style, with plenty of pungent, early season blackcurrant and a shawl of unthreatening, wellextracted tannins. A good wine for the vintage and an enjoyable drink over the next couple of years. Now to 2020. 87

Stephen Brook: Good depth of color. The light herbaceous tone is covered by oak, which does in this case compensate. Quite rich and juicy, with no green character although the acidity is rather pinched. A good effort from a property with ambition. 88
