Michel Bettane: Excellent color, lovely violet nose, velvety texture, perfect integration of oak, ripe berries, exemplary level of extraction, and, because of that, refined tannins. Very well made. 17

Thierry Desseauve: Softer than Armailhac but less intense. Pleasant Pauillac. 16

Michael Schuster: Warm, ripe, sweet nose; elegantly balanced, finely tannic Pauillac; ripe in fruit, long, gently spicy, and close-grained to taste; a bit tauter and more complex, if less immediately appealing and fleshy, than the d’Armailhac; a fine blackcurrant Cabernet, Médoc gravel and Pauillac spice combination, and with excellent fruit and aroma length. Beautifully made, with a very accessible, not too severe texture in the year. 2016–30. 16.5
