Jesús Barquín: Straw-yellow, almost transparent. Fruitdriven on the nose (possibly too much so for a Jerez Fino) with a nuttiness that does not seem to integrate well. Similar palate, with a fatty mouthfeel. 87
Andrew Jefford: Very pale, steel-white. Taut and almost grassy aromas, with just a little almondy richness behind. The palate is cast in this mold, too: Fino for Sauvignon Blanc lovers. Crisp, light, primary, almost green-leafy. Is there some kind of different picking decision here? Anyway, it’s perfectly drinkable if not exactly my dream Fino. 84
Peter Liem: This feels so compressed and restricted by filtration, it’s almost impossible to access. It’s difficult to ascertain the wine’s real character, because it is so obscured. Tastes entirely of process. 75
