Andrew Jefford: Deep, dark black-red. A lusher and notably sweeter scent than many: almost liqueur-like, indeed. Attractive and enticing, with wellincorporated oak. Sweet, fresh, thanks to the clean, cool-wind acidity of 2013, yet succulent, too, with a wonderful cascade of plump yet beautifully defined blackcurrant fruit. A dense, successful, and delicious wine: bravo. Now-2025. 92
Stephen Brook: Dense color. Rich plummy nose with ample oak. Plump, juicy, and concentrated, with firm tannins, this shows no greenness. Is it just the terroir that gives this weight and power, or some very skilful winemaking and strict selection? Whatever the reason, this is a success for the vintage. Quite long, too. 91
