Alex Hunt: Lots going on on this youthful nose. It’s pretty dark and brooding at the moment, with a fair bit of oak, but the fruit is pure and energetic. Will the bitterness resolve? That’s less certain. 86

Andrew Jefford: Dark purple-red. Soft and understated, almost secondary at this stage. Pinch of green beneath. Yet something very sweet, too: just a slightly odd combination. Dense and ambitious on the palate, however, with slender yet tenacious black-plum fruit backed by broad, driving tannins. Good wine in the end, and I’d enjoy drinking this, despite its failure to achieve maximum charm at every stage. 86

Peter Liem: This is taut and fresh, with a vibrant fruitiness and brisk structure. It reflects its cru character well, and it deftly navigates the ripeness of the vintage. 89
