Alex Hunt: 81

Andrew Jefford: Deep, dark purple-red. Fresh, sweet, warm, lively, pretty: absolute classicism here, though neither powerful nor long in terms of its aromatic trajectory. Fuller in the mouth than some of its cru peers, and with the green backbone that was apparent in one or two of them also. Côte de Brouilly in a darker, more restrained mood, but with lots of depth and drive to it. A very good wine. 89

Peter Liem: Dark and jammy, this feels a bit weighed down by its ripeness, and it needs food to balance its prominent tannins. It’s built in a bold, ample style, reflecting the warmth of the vintage. 83
