Michael Schuster: Laville Haut-Brion Mature, dark gold; wax and coffee-like maturity on the nose; very dry in flavor (more so than the 1975), still an elegant, complete, complex wine, with a slight austerity overall perhaps, and not finishing quite as long as its initial flavor promises. That said, fresh and youthful, given its four decades in bottle. This remains a fine, mature Laville. Now. 17
