Stephen Brook: Very deep red, brighter than most others. Fleshy but muted raspberry-coulis nose. Rich, juicy, super-ripe, concentrated, with big, ripe tannins yet enlivened by good acidity, fleshy and exuberant. Delicious fruit, well balanced, vigorous, and long. Pomerol for its flesh, St-Emilion for its freshness, but I’d guess Pomerol. 18
Andrew Jefford: Dark black-red. Smooth, seamless scent profile, very composed and graceful, with some evident sweetness from oak backing and wrapping the soft plums. Rich, sweet, soft, toothsome, and lush. Quite a simple wine, without any great depth, push, or penetration, but very attractive. Sweet finish. Pomerol plateau or second terrace? 14.5
Hugh Johnson: Edge-to-edge red. Lovely nose, like a warm conservatory; oranges, ripe growth. Still tight but already extravagant; astringent. Truly expressive, with a light touch. 15.5
